Abstract
The National Forum on Scientific Research and Technological Innovation (FSRTI - Forum national de la recherche scientifique et des innovations technologiques) was held for the first time in Ouagadougou in 1994. The Forum's mission is twofold: to disseminate research results to users (producers, development agents, firms and private operations, decision-makers); and to increase policymakers' awareness of the importance of innovation in socioeconomic development. The Forum has been held for the past 10 years. It is now time to decide whether or not it has effectively fulfilled its mission. This grant will allow the Centre national de la recherche scientifique et technologique (CNRST) to evaluate the Forum's contribution to the valorization of research results, propose concrete measures to improve its efficiency and functionality, and present the study findings for discussion at a workshop involving various partners.
