Partner Information :

Partnerships with recipients, Canadians and other donors and governments have been and will continue to be a key strategy by which IDRC garners support for promising research. Partnerships increase the financial resources and enhances capacity for researchers in developing countries. IDRC's Partnership and Business Development Division (PBDD) located in the Programme Partnership Branch is the focus of institutional efforts to increase the resources available for development-related research in the South through strategic partnering with like minded donors, development agencies and other institutions in Canada and worldwide. Partnerships increase the scope and impact of IDRC's programme and contribute to the harmonization efforts in development research.

Funding Opportunities:

IDRC funds research activities that are designed to provide direct benefits to developing countries and their citizens. In this section, you will find information about how to apply for funding assistance and how to manage the funds you receive. The first section provides guidelines for researchers who would like to approach IDRC for financial support. The second section provides information about training awards offered by IDRC as well as information on IDRC's partnership programs.

In addition, the ESARO Activity Fund (RAF), provides short-term, small scale assistance to exploratory initiatives region wide.
