Abstract
This grant will allow two Somali participants to attend the Pan-African Woman's Peace Conference in Tanzania, and two individuals from Somalia to come to Canada to attend the International Congress of Somali Studies, 8-11 July 1999, and the conference, "Voice of Somali Women on Peace, Reconciliation and Political Rights," 11-12 July 1999. The output will be a comprehensive account of Somali women's work and experiences in a conflict zone.
