In March 2008, the Office of the Auditor General (OAG) completed a Special Examination and provided assurance to IDRC’s Board of Governors that no significant deficiencies were found in the systems and practices examined. The OAG also performs the annual attest audit and has always issued unqualified opinions on IDRC’s financial statements.
As a matter of practice IDRC’s Board has invited the OAG on a number of occasions since 1982 to perform audits and special examinations additional to legislative requirement . All results have been positive.
