Research for Health Equity

Research for Health Equity (RHE) is the home base for three programs sharing a common overarching concern for policies, research, and systems oriented to increasing equity in health.

Governance, Equity and Health (GEH), Research for International Tobacco Control (RITC) and the Secretariat of the interagency Global Health Research Initiative (GHRI) are each implementing distinctive strategic directions, but all share a commitment to three objectives: Making a difference to health-related policy, systems, and outcomes “on the ground” in countries, regions, and communities; informing and influencing global policy debates while remaining grounded in the priorities and perspectives of Southern researchers, decision makers, and stakeholders; and developing research capacities and supporting communities of practice to help institutionalize a governance and equity approach to health systems research and policy-making beyond IDRC.

  • IDRC and GHRI @ Bamako
IDRC and the Global Health Research Initiative are participating in the 2008 Global Ministerial Forum on Research for Health, on November 17-20 in Bamako, Mali.
  • Gobernanza, Equidad y Salud
Se esfuerza por alcanzar la meta de una prestación equitativa, solidaria y justa de servicios públicos en los países en desarrollo.
