The Think Tank Initiative is a new, multi-donor program dedicated to strengthening independent policy research institutions – or “think tanks” – in developing countries, enabling them to better provide sound research that both informs and influences policy. The Initiative will focus its activities in East and West Africa, South Asia, and Latin America.
First Call for Expressions of Interest: East and West AfricaThis Call for Expressions of Interest is now closed. Almost 300 applications have been received and the Think Tank Initiative team is currently managing the selection and assessment of all organizations. All applicants will be notified, via email, of the status of their application by the end of November. Initial funding for the Initiative and for the current Call for Expressions of Interest has been provided by the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation and the International Development Research Centre (IDRC), Canada. |
