In 2007, the Institute for Connectivity in the Americas (ICA) launched its second phase with the support of the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) and IDRC. During this new phase, ICA will seek to deepen and expand the achievements attained during the first phase of the Institute. ICA programming will have a mix of implementation and applied research.
