The Asian NGO (non-governmental organization) Coalition for Agrarian Reform and Rural Development (ANGOC) is an autonomous Asian regional association of 24 national and regional NGO networks from 10 Asian countries. ANGOC has been forging links with international development groups over the years to actively advocate food security, agrarian reform, sustainable agriculture and rural development. With its partners, ANGOC has been involved in various policy dialogues and campaigns with national governments and inter-governmental institutions. Communication within the network has been mainly limited to the traditional mode, and communication by e-mail has only recently begun among nine members. This project will enable ANGOC to take advantage of the opportunities offered by the Internet in terms of communication and information exchange - including electronic conferencing, electronic publishing and electronic marketing - to strengthen its network activities and enhance its advocacy efforts on identified issues.
