Brief of Projects Funded - Nine projects from six countries
Promotional pamphlet The ICT R&D Grants Programme has the objective of building institutional research capacity in the developing countries of the Asia-Pacific region, in the area of Internet networking. It is directed at encouraging original and innovative networking solutions to specific development problems. The funds for the ICT R&D Grants are provided by the Pan Asia Networking Program of the International Development Research Centre (IDRC), the Asia-Pacific Development Information Programme (APDIP) of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), and the Asia Pacific Network Information Center (APNIC). The Programme is administered by Asian Media Information and Communication Centre (AMIC). The programme is overseen by a Committee established by Pan Asia Networking, APDIP, APNIC, and AMIC. Grants for suitable research and development projects are available to Asia-based organisations on a competitive basis. Preference is given to projects that focus on practical solutions to real problems in Internet policy and technology applications. Please click to see grants awarded by country or competition date.
