| IDRC's Ronnie Vernooy Awarded Mongolia's Highest Environmental Honour |

IDRC Senior Program Specialist for Biodiversity, Ronnie Vernooy, has been made an “Honorable Environmental Officer” of Mongolia. Vernooy received Mongolia’s highest environmental award in recognition of his efforts supporting community-based sustainable management of Mongolian natural resources and pastureland.
Three members of the research team also received special recognition for their work on IDRC’s Sustainable Management of Common Natural Resources in Mongolia project, currently in its third phase.
“Above all, this award reflects the strong merits of the work and achievements by the team,” said Vernooy.
