| Capacity Building in Resource Mobilization (CBRM) |
Financial sustainability is a cornerstone of any healthy organization, including those engaged in research for development. Yet, a number of factors have made it difficult for many of IDRC’s research partners to become financially viable and sustainable. This project has been designed, in 2003, for managers and research teams to improve their capacity to define resource needs, identify and test ways to diversify and increase financial resources to promote the advancement of their organization and its viability over time. The site of this initiative is divided in 3 sections: The project, with its objectives and results. Furthermore, research partners share through cases studies how resource mobilization, strategically planned, has transformed their organization, allowing them to better achieve the institution's mission and diversify their sources of funding.
