Abstract

IDRC is currently funding a number of projects in Cameroon and would like to see the results of this research shared and incorporated into policy formulation. To this end, IDRC and the Cameroon Union of Journalists are organizing a three-day workshop for 16 journalists from southwest, northwest and central Cameroon. Presentations on a number of IDRC thematic areas, such as micro-finance, agrarian reform, health and climate change will provide the starting point for discussion of how the media covers these issues and how this coverage could be improved. Two more senior journalists will also be invited to share their experiences.
