Abstract
IDRC's Regional Office for West and Central Africa (WARO) organized a workshop to reflect and exchange ideas on synergy between researchers and decision-makers in the field of education in Burkina Faso (January 2005). The workshop highlighted the level of utilization of research results and set up a provisory committee to reflect on a possible partnership between political decision-makers and researchers. The members of the provisory committee, after several working sessions, proposed possible solutions. This grant will allow the (now) follow-up committee to prepare documentation and a basic framework for researcher-decision-maker synergy.
