Abstract
The fifth Forum national de la recherche scientifique et des innovations technologiques (FRSIT, National Forum on Scientific Research and Technological Innovations) is a biennial gathering designed to popularize and promote research results. FRSIT brings together various national, regional and international institutions to share scientific advances and to present the results of research and innovation. FRSIT has already been held four times with success. The fifth FRSIT will be held in Ouagadougou, 4-11 May 2002. This grant will help the Centre national de la recherche scientifique et technologique (CNRST) organize roundtables bringing together researchers, inventors, innovators and decision-makers. The idea is to raise the participants' awareness of this research and understanding of its importance.
