Abstract

IDRC received a research proposal for a project to increase the productivity of production systems in Sahelian countries by promoting integrated crop livestock systems based on rational management of natural resources (land, water, pasture and other plant resources). The research team will evaluate existing modes of integrated crop-livestock production with a view to promoting those that contribute the most to food security in rural households. This grant will support the finalization of the research proposal.
