Abstract
This activity will support researchers to participate in the IDRC Booth at the Special Session of the United Nations General Assembly commemorating five years after the Earth Summit at Rio (UNCED). They will meet with delegates and the general public to discuss their research in the context of the theme "Innovation for Sustainable Development". The researchers are Dr. Sonia Lagos-Witte from the IDRC-supported TRAMIL medicinal plants project in Central America and His Excellency Dr. M. Nacro, a researcher on the red sorghum dye project and the now the Burkina Faso Embassador to Canada.
