IDRC's Annual Public Meeting

Canada’s International Development Research Centre (IDRC) is a Crown corporation that celebrates its 40th anniversary next year. A global leader in its field, IDRC supports applied research that brings dramatic improvements to the lives of people in the developing world.

Such as?

Improvements such as cleaner environments, better health, higher crop yields, access to new technologies, markets for products, fairer laws, and equal opportunities.

Where can I learn more?

All are welcome to attend IDRC’s first Annual Public Meeting

Time: Tuesday, October 27, 4:30–6:00 p.m.
Place: IDRC, 150 Kent Street, 8th floor, W. David Hopper Room, Ottawa.

The lecture is free but seating is limited, so please register.

Members of the IDRC Board of Governors — The Honourable Barbara McDougall (Chairman), David M. Malone (President), and long-serving Governor Francisco Sagasti — will be on hand to present IDRC’s work and answer questions.

Dominique Charron, who leads the Ecohealth program, will describe IDRC’s pioneering role in supporting research in this dynamic new field, which explores the relationship between human health and the environment.

Can’t attend?

Submit your questions to info@idrc.ca, with the subject line: Annual Public Meeting.

An audio podcast of the event will be posted on the IDRC website: web.idrc.ca
