Ball, who recently received her PhD from the university’s School of Environmental Design and Rural Development, completed her dissertation on women and peacebuilding in Uganda.

The award is named for the late Donald Forster, a former president of the University of Guelph, and recognizes academic achievement, motivation, leadership, and citizenship.
