Job Overview

Manages the President’s agenda; draws up or obtains documentation in support of the President’s engagements; communicates with individuals whom the President meets; arranges the President’s travel (national and international); maintains the President’s separate filing system of personnel/confidential documents.

Candidate Profile

Education

Post-secondary education at the college or university level.

Experience

This position requires experience in positions of increasing responsibilities dealing with senior management, government departments, private sector executives, and foreign country officials.

Language

  • Bilingual (English and French) position at an intermediate level

  • Knowledge of other languages, Spanish in particular, would be an asset.


    • Knowledge

    • Excellent knowledge of computer software (Outlook, Word, Microsoft Office)
    • Knowledge of and interest in the mission and work of the Centre
    • Knowledge of file classification systems and electronic filing
    • Knowledge of different cultures, customs, and traditions would be an asset.


    • Competencies

    • Ability to work well with no supervision
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Diplomacy and excellent interpersonal skills
    • Excellent organizational skills
    • Flexible, adaptable, able to take initiative, to respond quickly to unanticipated demands, and to deal with new and a wide variety of issues and activities under time constraints and with conflicting priorities
    • Ability to perform research-related tasks such as internet searches
