Job Overview
A Grant Administrator works directly with designated program staff (some of whom could be located in remote locations) in the detailed administration of their grant portfolio. A Grant Administrator prepares project approval documents, drafts legal documents for the signature of Administration Officers, receives and analyses project financial reports, schedules and reviews project monitoring reports, authorizes Financial Services to release payments, maintains the information used by Administration Officers for monthly accruals, verifies and distributes charges in own monthly corporate credit card statement and serves as resource persons to program staff and recipients.
Candidate Profile
Education
Two-year community college diploma in business (Ontario), or three-year CEGEP diploma in business administration (Quebec); or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
Experience
Three years of related experience
Language
Bilingual (English and French) position at an intermediate level
Knowledge
Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet softwares Knowledge of computerized financial information systems Knowledge of file classification systems and electronic filing Knowledge of IDRC’s mandate and programs Knowledge of grant administration procedures and methods
