IDRC hosted a public lecture on February 7 by John Githongo, one of Africa’s most distinguished advocates for transparency and good governance. As part of the IDRC Speaker Series, Githongo shared his insights on  the struggle for democracy in Kenya.
 
Githongo, a former IDRC fellow, was featured in Vanity Fair’s special Africa issue (July 2007) as one of “71 Africans who are defying the status quo.”

The IDRC Speaker Series, sponsored by Canada's International Development Research Centre (IDRC), features provocative presentations on issues of social justice and international development from speakers with worldwide reputations.
